Lakewood Ranch originally started out as farm land, facilitating many different practices like ranching, citrus, farming, and aggregate mining. Soon the farm land stared to be developed into what we now know as Lakewood Ranch. With the initial development beginning in 1994, and continuing today. 

Now, Lakewood Ranch is the #1 community in the U.S for all ages, and is 50 square miles. Lakewood Ranch is designed with different "villages" or communities each with unique homes and specialized amenities to make your new house truly feel like home. 

Lakewood Ranch is special due to its ideal location. Located conveniently off I-75, this community has easy access to all that Sarasota, Bradenton, and Tampa has to offer. But what is the most important is what Lakewood Ranch itself has.
